Bridal Alterations by Alice took off in 1973, beginning out of her garage and contracting her work out to Park Avenue Bridal. Then, in 1978, she started doing alterations for Hacienda Brides, which later changed their name to Brides International.  Throughout the years and company transitions, Alice and her team maintained their work and clientele with a steady hand and reliable ear for customer's requests. When Bride International sold their company to Alfred Angelo, Alice's  presence was a constant, staying with Alfred Angelo and completing jobs from eight Alfred Angelo stores. Every bride that had been served by Alice and her team had their wishes fulfilled in the form of dresses re-tailored to their measurements and their hearts' desires. Alfred Angelo filed bankruptcy in July 2017, leading to the closing of their stores, but Bridal Alterations by Alice remains. Now, the team behind Bridal Alterations by Alice no longer works on a contract basis for other companies, instead opening their work to the public. Brides can now go directly to get their gowns refitted and redesigned by Bridal Alterations by Alice, working with the creative minds and designers themselves. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue — the old adage for fortune on weddings.
